Part of the difference between COD/UO and Alice (even though both originally based on Quake3) is that COD has a much more heavily modified engine. Alice was closer to the base Q3 code than COD, so it was much simpler to roll in the Universal changes from other Q3 base games like Jedi Knight.
I don't know when/if we'll get a UB of COD/UO. After we spent a good amount of time on it we still had a lot of work to do, and factors like the Universal COD2 already being available make the business decision harder. Currently the other Universal games we have in active development are KOTOR, Simcity 4, and Lego Star Wars. SC4 & LSW are the two universal requests we get, and KOTOR was one of our first test cases to do the initial research in moving to universal (it just got hung up with some technical issues that kept it from being released already).

Surout ne hurlez pas, mais je me demande si les patches UB de CoD et UO finiront par sortir un jour

Il y a apparemment énormément de travail à faire dessus car le moteur Q3 utilisé a été profondément modifié.

Not to mention the time that said person has to do the port in is generally fitted around their other projects.
in other words. This could simply have been a side project which the programmer did in their spare time. Much like the UB for Shrek 2.
This was definitely the case for the Alice patch. I put it together over a period of a few days here and there. It had no dependencies on any third-party libraries so it really was a matter of just doing it. (Before someone asks, KOTOR has a dependency on a third-party sound library that requires some extra work on our end, and that's what is holding it up all these long months. Please don't throw tomatoes.)
Pour simplifier, le Brad Oliver a fait ce patch sur son temps libre car il utilise le moteur Quake3 non modifié, et c'était très facile à faire. Aspyr n'a pas eu de temps de "production" pour ce jeu.
