Alice was closer to the base Q3 code than COD, so it was much simpler to roll in the Universal changes from other Q3 base games like Jedi Knight. After we spent a good amount of time on it we still had a lot of work to do, and factors like the Universal COD2 already being available make the business decision harder. Currently the other Universal games we have in active development are KOTOR, Simcity 4, and Lego Star Wars. SC4 & LSW are the two universal requests we get, and KOTOR was one of our first test cases to do the initial research in moving to universal (it just got hung up with some technical issues that kept it from being released already).
